RCA 74-B Ribbon Microphone (#2)
Here’s an RCA 74-B Ribbon Microphone from the 1940’s! These classic ribbons sound great on guitar amps, drums, horns, etc. Originally made as an everyday utility microphone, these have a transformer that was originally tailored for voice. Despite being designed as a starter microphone, these have found their way into many studios as a nice smooth, ribbon option. Despite some wear to the paint, this 74-B is in great shape for it’s age, with a new ribbon and XLR cable. This one is missing the original stand adapter, but has a new adapter with a Triad-Orbit stand adapter for easy mounting at any angle. Grab this classic 74-B from the early days of RCA!
