RCA 74-B Ribbon Microphone
Here’s an RCA 74-B Ribbon Microphone from the 1950’s! These ribbons were originally released as a low cost, everyday microphone for announcing and broadcasting. These have a smooth and somewhat flat frequency response that makes them perfect for guitar amps / acoustics. You can’t go wrong with the warmth and classic look of the 74-B! This 74-B has a new ribbon and a new balanced cable to XLR. One side is clean while the other has some slight discoloration and pitting. Aside from the cosmetics, this microphone is functioning perfectly. I see less and less of these up for sale for good prices. Grab this classic 74-B from the early days of RCA!
