RCA BK-5A Ribbon Microphone
Here’s an RCA BK-5A Ribbon Microphone from the 1950’s! The BK-5 was RCA’s cardiod, uni-directional ribbon that was originally marketed as a ribbon with a blast filter that could protect it from unexpected loud noises. The BK-5's durability and uni-directional characteristics has made these a go-to option for guitar amps, drums, vocals and more! This particular BK-5A is in great condition for its age, with some wear to the paint here and there. Rather than the standard mount, this one has a rare and original MI-11012 mount that was used to limit vibrations with the BK-5 for motion picture and other similar uses. This one has been serviced with a new ribbon and XLR cable. If you’ve been looking for a solid RCA BK-5, this is the one for you! Grab this classic BK-5A Ribbon Microphone from RCA!
