Here's an RCA KB2 Ribbon Microphone from the 1950’s! RCA developed small ribbon microphones to make them more appealing when placing them in front of performers and broadcasters. Despite being quite a bit smaller than an RCA 44, the KB2 has an impressive and similar low end. This KB2A has been serviced with a ribbon replacement and new Cinemag CM-23724 transformer (it was originally high impedance). These new Cinemags have a 1:70 turns ratio, giving the most output and cleanest signal possible. The M/V switch is no longer functional due to the transformer upgrade.
