Reslo RV Ribbon Microphone (Lansdowne Studios)
Here’s a 1950’s Reslo RV Ribbon Microphone with a great historical studio connection. This Reslo RV was used at Lansdowne Studios in London. Lansdowne opened in 1958 and closed in the early 2000’s. In the 60’s it became a spot where many British Rock Bands recorded, including The Dave Clark Five, Lonnie Donegan, The Animals, and more (a quick google search will give you lots of info). Other artists that recorded there were Queen (they recorded parts of “A Night at the Opera” at Lansdowne), John Lennon, The Sex Pistols (“Anarchy in the U.K.”), Rod Stewart, and more. There’s really no telling what records this microphone was used on! Aside from the historical connection, this microphone has been fully serviced and is working perfectly with a new XLR connector. If you’re looking for thick, warm tones on drums and guitar amps with any harshness - this is the microphone you’re looking for. Grab this classic Reslo ribbon with a great story behind it!
