RSA RL1 Ribbon Microphone
Here’s an RSA RL1 Ribbon Microphone from the late 1940’s! RSA made amplifiers out of London and created the RL1 as a microphone option for their products. This RL1 has a colored, vintage tone that makes it a very unique sounding microphone. I updated this one for modern use with a new ribbon, transformer, and XLR cable. While the ribbon motor is well made, the body gives this one most of its sound and rolls off the high end with its unique covering over the ribbon. Overall, this microphone would be great on drums, guitars, vocals, and more. If you’re looking for one of the most unique and vintage sounding ribbon microphones out there, this is the one for you! Grab this 80 year old RL1 Ribbon Microphone from RSA!
