Sennheiser (Dual) MD403 Dynamic Microphone
Here’s a rare 1960’s Sennheiser MD403 that was rebranded for a Germany audio company called “Dual”. This microphone is in mint condition and looks as if it was made yesterday! Internally, it has a capsule similar to the MD409. I’ve studied the different MD409 variations and the element inside this one would be considered a “402/1”, one of the first versions (The MD409 uses a “402/3”). This MD403 has nice mid range and top end. I specifically recommend these on guitar amps, as they really grab the sparkling high end of an amp that cuts through a mix. These are also nice for some vocals, acoustic instruments, drums and more. This one has a new standard stand adapter and a balanced XLR output. Grab this one if you’re looking for the sound similar to a 60’s MD409 for a better price!
