Here’s an early Sennheiser MD4 Dynamic Microphone from the 1950’s! Sennheiser created the MD4 as a “noise-canceling” microphone for voices in settings that were noisy. These early microphones have a colored tone, and work best as an effects microphone if you are looking for lo-fi sounds directly from a microphone. Overall the sound of the MD4 is very bright and can make a nice effect if you are looking for extra high end.
