Shure 330 Ribbon Microphone
Here's a 1960’s Shure 330 Ribbon microphone. This microphone is Uni-directional, as opposed to the Bi-directional 315. This ribbon has a brighter top end than many other ribbons. It still has a warm ribbon sound, but doesn’t have a huge bottom end or proximity effect. I’d recommend this one for guitar amps, acoustics, as a room microphone, or even on a snare top (I’ve heard of quite a few people using the 330 on a snare lately). Overall, this is a great option to get into the world of vintage ribbon microphones. This 330 has a new ribbon, ready for years of studio use. It has a slight bit of wear from over the years, but overall looks good. Grab a classic USA made Shure ribbon from the 60’s!
