Shure 546 Dynamic Microphone
Here’s a classic Shure 546 microphone from the late 1960’s! The 545 was the first of the famous Unidyne series which ultimately led to today’s SM57. Along the way, Shure made different versions of the 545 for different applications. The 546 is the professional stage version of the 545 and features a shock mounted body as well as a large transformer with two different impedance options. The larger transformer gives it an improved sound that many describe as sounding more natural and big. Overall, every microphone in the 545 line was quality made with a brighter and more natural sound than today’s SM57. I especially recommend these microphones on guitar amps! Grab a classic Shure microphone in this Shure 546 and 545S!
