Shure PE54 Unidyne III Dynamic Microphone
Here's a Shure PE54 (Professional Entertainer) Unidyne III Dynamic Microphone from the 1970’s (3 Available)! The Shure PE line was the high impedance line of mic’s that were manufactured for stage use. These microphones have the same element as a typical 545 but have been serviced with removed high impedance transformers making them low impedance with a balanced output. Bypassing the transformers in Shure microphones is a common practice as it adds low end and enhanced transients while sounding more natural in the high end (think SM7, which is also transformer-less). These microphones are sounding great, and make a perfect option for vocals, snare, guitar amps, and more. The on / off switch has been bypassed in these microphones for ease of use. If you’re looking for a great USA made dynamic microphone from Shure that has a different tone than a standard 57 or 545 (due to the bypassed transformer), one of these microphones is for you. Two of these come with new 3 pin Amphenol connectors to XLR, one has been converted to XLR (and is missing the label + back plate but works perfectly). Grab one of these modded PE54 dynamic microphones from Shure!
