Shure SM54 Dynamic Microphone
Here are two Shure SM54 dynamic microphones from the early 1980’s (Price is for one, two are available)! These were introduced in the same catalog as the SM5B and SM7 (back when they were made in the USA). Shure described these as being great studio microphones with a “smooth, wide range, flat frequency response without strident peaks or false coloration”. These are versatile microphones that do a great job of capturing warm sounds without getting harsh. I think these are some of the most underrated microphones from the golden era of Shure microphones! Both of these have some wear to the bodies but are working perfectly. Whether they find a home on vocals, guitar amps, or snare top, these will make a great addition to your microphone locker.
