Here’s a 1970's Shure SM56 head on a 1960's 546 body! Every now and then I put together an interesting “Frankenstein” microphone, and this SM56 / 546 seems to make a nice pairing! Both the SM56 and 546 were Shure’s top of the line dynamic microphones. The pairing of both in one microphone makes for a microphone of the same top of the line quality with some added character and uniqueness. If you're a fan of the SM56 or 546, you'll really like this microphone - it has a bit of each model to it's sound.
