Here’s a rare Sony condenser microphone from the early 1970’s. These are great on vocals, acoustic, rooms, and more. If you’re looking for a comparable microphone to a C-38B on a budget, this is a great option. Check out my story for a comparison between the 377 and C-38B. Like the C-38B, this microphone runs off of phantom power or an internal battery. This one also has the typical M, M1, and V1 settings, which work and have a very subtle change of the bass on the overall sound. Overall, this is a great vintage condenser that doesn’t come up for sale too often. Compared with other condensers that offer a similar sound, this one is at a great price point. Grab this microphone and be one of the few studios that has the opportunity to use the ECM-377!
