STC 4017 Dynamic Microphone
Here’s an STC 4017 Dynamic Microphone from the 1940’s! If you aren’t familiar, STC was the name of the microphone company that is now known as Coles (they make the 4038). STC made various microphones, and this 4017 would have been made for use during World War II for different broadcasting / public announcement uses. These microphones are rare, especially in good working condition with their original yoke / cables. Today, this microphone would be best for an effects microphone, as it has a filtered, lo-fi sound with a crisp high end.
