Telefunken (AKG) D19 Dynamic Microphone
Here’s a Telefunken branded AKG D19 Dynamic Microphone from the 1960’s! The AKG D19 is similar to the D12 in that it has a tunable diaphragm, however the radius is smaller and thus it has more high end and a tighter sound overall. These microphones have been used for over 50 years and when are functioning properly make a great option for drum overheads, kick drum, guitars, vocals and more. The D19 became popular after The Beatles were pictured extensively using them as utility mic’s in the studio. This D19 has a good amount of wear to the body. This is the BK/Hi version, however the transformer was bypassed and this one is a standard 200 Ohm model. Despite the wear, this one is functioning perfectly.
