"The Fisher" Sennheiser MD407 Dynamic Microphone
Here’s another 1960’s Sennheiser MD407 that was rebranded by “The Fisher”. These are sought after due to the capsules being nearly identical to the famous MD409. Sennheiser made a variety of different dynamic elements that have stood the test over time and are a favorite for guitar amps and more today. The prices of MD409’s have shot up lately, so these are a fantastic option if you’re looking for the 409 sound at a better price. This MD407 has a shock-mounted capsule, which is a better design than the disintegrating foam found in many of the 409’s still around today. This MD407 is in great shape and was re-wired for a balanced output to XLR (these come originally wired up for an unbalanced 1/4” output). Grab a classic Sennheiser dynamic microphone for a similar sound and better price than other models from its era!
