Toshiba Type E Ribbon Microphone
Here’s a Toshiba Type E Ribbon Microphone from the 1960’s! These rare Japanese made ribbons clearly resemble the RCA 74A, though they have some clear differences. The Toshiba Type E has three horseshoe magnets, while the RCA uses two large block style magnets. Also, the Type E has a transformer that allows for a stronger proximity effect than the RCA. Overall, this Toshiba Type E is well built and great for guitars, drums, horns, and more. If you’ve been looking for a rare ribbon with classic looks, this is a good one to have around! This one has a new ribbon, XLR cable, and new grill cloth. Note: One screw doesn't tighten on the left side, but the right side tightens easily. Grab this Type E Ribbon Microphone from Toshiba!
