Toshiba Type G Ribbon Microphone
Here’s a Toshiba Type G Ribbon Microphone from the 1950’s! Toshiba made some extremely high quality ribbon microphones out of Japan that resembled some of RCA’s designs. This Type G resembles the cosmetics of the RCA 77, however the internals differ and the Type G has a 6 position high pass filter while the 77 has 3. These mic’s have great high end / mid range and a solid low end response that translates well on guitars, drums, vocals, horns, etc (these are very versatile!). It’s clear that quality was in mind when making these mic’s, as they come with a cloth bag and heavy duty case (included in this sale).
