Toshiba Type G Ribbon Microphone
Here's a Toshiba Type G Ribbon Microphone from the 1950’s! Toshiba made high quality ribbon microphones out of Japan that resembled some of RCA’s designs. This Type G resembles the cosmetics of the RCA 77, however the internals differ (significantly different ribbon motor). These microphones have great high end / mid range and a solid low end response that translate well on guitars, drums, vocals, horns, etc (these are very versatile!). This Type G has been serviced with new a ribbon, XLR Cable, and new grill cloth. This is an early version that was made in 1954 and lacks a bass-roll off knob like later Type G's. The original case is included, which has quite a bit of patina from transport over the years! If you’ve been looking for a classic looking, versatile ribbon microphone, this is the one for you! Grab this Type G ribbon microphone from Toshiba!
