This model 87 would have been one of Turner’s higher end ribbon microphones for professional uses. This microphone has been upgraded with a new Cinemag transformer, which really opens up the sound in these particular microphones. Typically these have transformers that cut out the low end, but changing the transformer makes it a full range (and incredible) sounding ribbon.
