Universal 5MM Velocity (Ribbon) Microphone
Here’s a Universal 5MM Velocity Microphone from the late 1930’s! The Universal Microphone Company was based in Inglewood, CA and made many different microphones and broadcasting equipment throughout the 1930’s and 40’s. This microphone has been serviced with a new Cinemag transformer but still has it’s original ribbon in great shape! This one has a very usable output with a solid low end response and lots of warmth. This microphone is a great option for guitar amps, horns, on drums, and more. For it’s age, this one is in great shape! There aren’t many of these old ribbon microphones that have been properly serviced for modern use, so this one makes a nice unique ribbon option! Grab this 1930’s 5MM Velocity microphone from Universal!
