Universal M4 Ribbon Microphone
Here's a Universal M4 Ribbon Microphone from the 1930's! Universal made different early ribbon, carbon, and dynamic microphones out of Inglewood, California. These M4 series ribbons have 4 horseshoe magnets lined up behind the ribbon motor. After servicing this microphone with a new ribbon and upgraded Cinemag transformer, it has a dark boomy sound that translates well on drums and other high SPL sources. If you've been looking for a dark ribbon with lots of low end, this is the microphone for you. This microphone has some wear to the paint as it's nearly 100 years old, however it's overall in good condition. Grab this rare Universal ribbon microphone from the 1930's!
