Victor MV-105L (Aiwa VM-12) Ribbon Microphone Pair
Here’s a pair of Aiwa VM12 Rebranded Ribbon Microphones from the 1960’s! The Victor Company of Japan is more widely known as “JVC” today, and rebranded these microphones to sell with their Hifi audio products. Aside from the branding, these microphones are identical to any other Aiwa VM12 ribbon microphones. The Aiwa VM12 has a different flavor than other Aiwa ribbons (VM15, 16, etc) as the ribbon has a wider width than the other models they made. This accounts for a thicker low end, but more of a rolled off top end overall. These microphones would be a great option for drums and other stereo recording uses (or mono guitar amps, acoustics, etc.) Both of these microphones have been serviced with new ribbons and new cable to XLR. They will come in their original cases. Grab this pair of rebranded VM12 ribbon microphones from Aiwa!
